A little bit about me…
I first came into contact with patisserie in the summer of 2013, when I was 17. I decided to join Nandu Jubany’s team, working in the desserts section, and it played a key role in deciding my future. I found a place where I could stretch my creativity and pursue a successful professional career. After finishing high school, I began specialised training as a pastry chef at the Escola Espai Sucre and the Hofmann School, where I discovered the secrets to pastry making. I was lucky enough to start an internship at La Pastisseria, owned by Josep Maria Rodríguez, in Barcelona, and later I joined his team of professionals.
In 2017, at the age of 21, I moved from the capital to Vic, in the Osona region. It is here in my hometown that I managed to grow exponentially in the pastry and chocolate sector and, to this day, I am still the head of the El Carme pastry shop in Vic, which is part of the Pavic group.
The highlight of my career was in 2021, when I became the best chocolate maker in Spain by winning the World Chocolate Masters Spain and, one year later, in 2022, I made my dream come true: winning the final of the WORLD CHOCOLATE MASTERS 2022. It was AMAZING!
I like to juggle sport, family, friends and work in my life. Whenever I can I try to get away to go mountain biking or road cycling. It’s a hobby of mine, and I love it! When I was a child I used to cycle around my village, Santa Eulàlia de Riuprimer. Cycling and baking have always gone hand in hand for me. I believe that sport has given me perseverance and sacrifice, and the mindset to tackle challenges and accomplish goals. Sport is about connecting with nature, and it is a great source of inspiration. Colours, organic textures, smells… I always try to get ideas and incorporate them into my pastries.
